US Patent Issued to NIDEC PSA EMOTORS on Sept. 8 for "Liquid cooling machine" (French Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,732,044, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to NIDEC PSA EMOTORS (Carrieres sous Poissy, France).

"Liquid cooling machine" was invented by Guillaume Tardy (La Celle St Cloud, France) and Diana Fantuz (Plaisir, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a rotary electric machine with liquid cooling, comprising a rotor with permanent magnets and a wound stator, the rotor comprising: (i) at least one rotor sheet stack, (ii) magnets housed in the sheet stack, and (iii) front and rear flanges adjacent to the sheet stack, the machine being configured to enable a cross-flow of the cooling liquid within the rotor sheet stack." ...
