ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,625,301, issued on May 12, was assigned to NICHIA Corp. (Anan, Japan).

"Wavelength conversion module" was invented by Teppei Kunimune (Tokushima, Japan) and Yasuaki Kawata (Anan, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wavelength conversion module includes a base, a wavelength conversion member consisting of a phosphor, and a bonding member including a metal part that bonds the base and the wavelength conversion member. A thickness of the wavelength conversion member is less than 100 micro metre."

The patent was filed on July 20, 2022, under Application No. 17/869,709.
