ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,638,050, issued on May 26, was assigned to NGK INSULATORS Ltd. (Nagoya, Japan).
"Wear-resistant member" was invented by Yuichi Tajima (Nagoya City, Japan) and Yoshimasa Kondo (Nagoya City, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wear-resistant member that is slidingly contacted with a hard member, wherein the wear-resistant member is formed of an alloy in which hard particles having an average particle size of 10 to 150 micro metre are bonded by a bonding portion."
The patent was filed on Aug. 26, 2021, under Application No. 17/445,971.
