ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,752,016, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to NEXTAGE THERAPEUTICS LTD. (Nes Ziona, Israel).

"Drug containing targeting liposomes" was invented by Joseph Yeshayahu Klein (Haifa, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are novel, modified targeting peptides which can be incorporated within liposomes. Additionally, described herein are liposomes containing the modified targeting peptides. Liposomes preferably comprise a lipid-based bilayer and at least one drug. Also provided herein are methods for making the modified targeting peptides, and the liposomes, and methods for treatment of diseases of the CNS using the liposomes."
