ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,198, issued on March 31, was assigned to Neveon Germany GMBH (Wiesbaden, Germany).
"Process for the decomposition of polyurethane" was invented by Herbert Bettinger (St. Wendel, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to a method for decomposing polyurethane, wherein material containing polyurethane is heated to a temperature from 190deg C. to 250deg C. under overpressure in the presence of an aqueous solution containing 1 to 45 mass percent urea. It further relates to a liquid process medium obtainable thereby."
