ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,598,216, issued on April 7, was assigned to Netskope Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Small-footprint endpoint data loss prevention" was invented by Krishna Narayanaswamy (Saratoga, Calif.) and Ajay Agrawal (Bangalore, India).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The technology disclosed relates to endpoint data loss prevention (DLP). In particular, the technology disclosed relates to enforcing data loss prevention policies at an endpoint without needing to perform content sensitivity scan at the endpoint."
