ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,744,626, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to NEC Corp. (Tokyo).

"Method, user equipment, and network node" was invented by Ayesha Ijaz (Leatherhead, Great Britain) and Takahiro Sasaki (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A communication system is disclosed in which a user equipment (UE) communicates with a network node via a non-terrestrial network. The UE receives from the network node an indication that HARQ feedback is not required for a set of transmission occasions, and the UE omits HARQ feedback for that set of transmission occasions based on the information. The indication may be included in a DCI field or a MAC header."
