ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,176, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to NEC Corp. (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method is disclosed in which downlink control information transmitted by a radio access network provides an indication of at least one set of control resources configured at a UE, or of at least one search space configured at a UE, that the UE is to stop monitoring for DCI, start monitoring for DCI, or continue monitoring for DCI."

The patent was filed on July 30, 2021, under Application No. 17/626,578.
