ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,701,279, issued on Aug. 4, was assigned to NBCUniversal Media LLC (New York).

"Flexible broadcast system and method" was invented by Glenn A. Reitmeier (Yardley, Pa.), Rajan Mehta (Stamford, Conn.), Harold Douglas Lung (Honomu, Hawaii) and Sheau Ng (Wayland, Mass.).
