US Patent Issued to National University of Singapore on Dec. 16 for "Biosynthesis of cannabinoids from cannabigerolic acid using novel cannabinoid synthases" (Singaporean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,600, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to National University of Singapore (Singapore).

"Biosynthesis of cannabinoids from cannabigerolic acid using novel cannabinoid synthases" was invented by Maybelle Darlene Kho Go (Singapore) and Wen Shan Yew (Singapore).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing a cannabinoid by contacting cannabigerolic acid with a cannabinoid synthase orthologue.
