US Patent Issued to Myriad Genetics on March 17 for "Detecting cancer risk" (Utah Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,622, issued on March 17, was assigned to Myriad Genetics Inc. (Salt Lake City).

"Detecting cancer risk" was invented by Elisha Hughes (Salt Lake City) and Alexander Gutin (Salt Lake City).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to methods, kits, and systems for assessing the risk of a human subject for developing a cancer, including genetic risk assessment, clinical risk assessment, and combinations of both to improve risk analysis."
