ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,300,827, issued on May 13, was assigned to MURATA MANUFACTURING Co. LTD. (Nagaokakyo, Japan).

"Solid-state battery" was invented by Mitsuyoshi Nishide (Nagaokakyo, Japan), Tomohiro Kato (Nagaokakyo, Japan) and Takayuki Nagano (Nagaokakyo, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery that includes a substrate, a solid-state battery on the substrate, and a circuit for the solid-state battery on the substrate."

The patent was filed on Sept. 28, 2021, under Application No. 17/487,565.
