ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,226, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to ModernaTX Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.).
"Delivery and formulation of engineered nucleic acids" was invented by Antonin De Fougerolles (Waterloo, Belgium) and Sayda M. Elbashir (Cambridge, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are formulations, compositions and methods for delivering biological moieties such as modified nucleic acids into cells to modulate protein expression. Such compositions and methods include the delivery of biological moieties, and are useful for production of proteins."
