ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,143, issued on April 14, was assigned to MIYOSHI OIL & FAT Co. LTD. (Tokyo).
"Emulsified oil and fat composition" was invented by Kazuhiro Hamamoto (Tokyo), Kimiko Saito (Tokyo), Baku Ushijima (Tokyo) and Akira Ohta (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An emulsified oil and fat composition having a refreshing flavor and sweetness. The emulsified oil and fat composition contains a Koji fermentation product in which the pH value of the aqueous phase is 3.1-6.0 inclusive. The Koji fermentation product may be a Koji fermentation product of rice."
The patent was filed on Feb. 24, 2021, under Application No. 17/904,828.
