ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,738,532, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to MITSUBISHI GAS CHEMICAL COMPANY INC. (Tokyo).
"Method for producing LGPS-type solid electrolyte" was invented by Masashi Konya (Niigata, Japan) and Kazuki Tamai (Niigata, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing an LGPS-type solid electrolyte mixing Li3PS4 crystals having an average grain size (D50) of 0.1 to 5 micro metre and crystals that are formed of Li, Sn and S to produce a precursor, while having an average grain size (D50) of 0.1 to 5 micro metre; and subjecting the precursor to heat treatment at 300 to 700deg C."
