"Microwave photonic quantum processor" was invented by Nicolas Schwaller (Chernex, Switzerland), Clement Javerzac-Galy (Vulliens, Switzerland) and Olexiy Feofanov (Epalinges, Switzerland).

The quantum processor uses propagating microwave photons as flying qubits, encoded in a dual-rail configuration.
