ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,585,143, issued on March 24, was assigned to Milwaukee Electric Tool Corp. (Brookfield, Wis.).

"Safety eyewear with heated lenses" was invented by Alan J. Rehfeldt (Oak Creek, Wis.), Beth E. Cholst (Wauwatosa, Wis.) and Jordan A. Rimmer (Milwaukee).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "One or more safety eyewear devices are described. The safety eyewear includes a heating element that transfers heat to lenses, thereby providing defogging in eyewear suitable for a construction environment."
