US Patent Issued to MIDWEST YOGURT on Sept. 22 for "Milk and oat food product" (Minnesota Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,740,573, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to MIDWEST YOGURT INC. (Minnetonka, Minn.).

"Milk and oat food product" was invented by Eric Wayne Jackson (Rockford, Minn.) and Jie Sun (Plymouth, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Food compositions comprising a milk ingredient and oats are described. Food compositions described provide a convenient alternative to overnight oats. Food products containing food compositions that include a milk ingredient and oats, as well as methods of making and using such food compositions and food products are also described."

The patent was filed on June 25, 2019, under Application No. 17/049,808.
