US Patent Issued to Microtech Knives on Jan. 20 for "Fixed blade knife" (North Carolina Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,528,211, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to Microtech Knives Inc. (Mills River, N.C.).

"Fixed blade knife" was invented by Kyle Chumchal (Fletcher, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fixed blade knife includes a handle having an inner surface. A blade has a tang that extends at least partially along the inner surface of the handle. A bolster extends along at least a portion of the tang and releasably connects to the handle."

The patent was filed on May 23, 2025, under Application No. 19/217,622.
