ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,499,622, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to Microsoft Technology Licensing LLC (Redmond, Wash.).
"Late stage reprojection using tessellated mesh" was invented by Christian Voss-Wolff (Herzberg am Harz, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of late stage reprojection comprises accessing a depth buffer and a color image, accessing a depth complexity map, computing an indexed tessellated mesh from the depth complexity map using a database of pre-computed patterns and reprojecting the indexed tessellated mesh to correct the color image."
