ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,551,253, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to MEDICAL DESIGN INNOVATION LLC (Phoenix) and KLS MARTIN LP (Jacksonville, Fla.).
"Pectus excavatum treating apparatus" was invented by David M. Notrica (Phoenix), Carson Quigley (Jacksonville, Fla.), Grant Wilson (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Daniel Grimm (Jacksonville, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pectus excavatum treating apparatus or assembly having two pectus bars joined by a connecting member."
