US Patent Issued to MAZCON A KURTZ BROS. on Feb. 10 for "Heavy duty silt fence using nonwoven silt retention fabric" (Pennsylvania Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,546,083, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to MAZCON A KURTZ BROS. COMPANY LLC (Groveport, Ohio).

"Heavy duty silt fence using nonwoven silt retention fabric" was invented by Michael A. Zock (Saxonburg, Pa.), Nick Dreher (Sarver, Pa.) and Benjamin Swarey (Belleville, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A silt fence includes a plurality of spaced stakes and a silt fence fabric coupled to the stakes wherein the silt fence fabric is a nonwoven needle punched fabric having a thickness of at least 5.25 mm, a denier size of 10-25 and a weight of 9-24 oz/square yard.
