US Patent Issued to Malinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Ireland on June 16 for "Use of inhaled nitric oxide and oxygen for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension" (New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,653,837, issued on June 16, was assigned to Malinckrodt Pharmaceuticals Ireland Ltd. (Dublin).

"Use of inhaled nitric oxide and oxygen for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension" was invented by Deborah Quinn (Morristown, N.J.) and Parag Shah (Morristown, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods of using inhaled nitric oxide for treating pulmonary hypertension, improving exercise capacity and/or reducing oxygen desaturation in a patient."

The patent was filed on Dec. 28, 2018, under Application No. 16/961,886.
