ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,565,961, issued on March 3, was assigned to Magpul Industries Corp. (Austin, Texas).
"Quick release bipod adapter plate" was invented by Libardo Jimenez (Arvada, Colo.) and Timothy Eric Roberts (Broomfield, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for a quick-release adapter between two tripod/bipod/monopod interfaces, wherein a clamping side of the adapter is configured to clamp onto two different types of interfaces or rails such as Arca and Picatinny/Weaver/NATO."
The patent was filed on Jan. 11, 2022, under Application No. 18/271,730.
