ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,359, issued on June 23, was assigned to Madrigal Pharmaceuticals Inc. (West Conshohocken, Pa.).

"Therapeutic combinations of rosuvastatin and resmetirom for the treatment of liver disorders or lipid disorders" was invented by Rebecca Taub (Villanova, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides a combination therapy for treating a liver disease or disorder and/or a lipid disease or disorder in a subject in need thereof.
