ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,540, issued on May 13, was assigned to LUMINAR TECHNOLOGIES INC. (Orlando, Fla.).

"Plasma dispersion effect for metasurface tuning" was invented by Aditya Jain (Minneapolis), Zoran Jandric (Minneapolis), Dan Mohr (St. Paul, Minn.), Kevin A. Gomez (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Krishnan Subramanian (Shakopee, Minn.).
