ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,557,448, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to LUMILEDS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (Singapore).

"Color tunable pcLEDs based on temporal saturation of phosphors" was invented by Mehdi Aas (Eindhoven, Netherlands).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Phosphor converted LEDs (pcLEDs) are color tuned by temporal saturation of an electronic transition from which the phosphor emission arises. A single such pcLED is individually color tunable. In an array of such pcLEDs each pixel may be separately color tunable."

The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2022, under Application No. 17/990,012.
