ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,564, issued on June 23, was assigned to Lumileds LLC (San Jose, Calif.).

"Optimized optical element for LED" was invented by Yu-Chen Shen (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Bahareh Ramezan Pour (Benicia, Calif.).
