US Patent Issued to Luigi Lavazza on May 12 for "Cold brew beverage" (New Jersey, Pennsylvania Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,622,443, issued on May 12, was assigned to Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. (Turin, Italy).

"Cold brew beverage" was invented by Joshua Gomes (Philadelphia) and Anthony Loder (Collingswood, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein is a beverage preparation ingredient for cold-brewing, the beverage preparation ingredient comprising a blend of a water-insoluble drink powder and a water-soluble drink powder."

The patent was filed on Feb. 19, 2021, under Application No. 17/801,879.
