ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,553,357, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to LORD Corp. (Cleveland).

"Sensing system for detecting rubs events or wear of an abradable coating in turbo machinery" was invented by Paul R. Black (Apex, N.C.), Victor Zaccardo (Durham, N.C.), Russell Altieri (Holly Springs, N.C.) and Lee Wakefield (Cary, N.C.).
