US Patent Issued to LG Energy Solution on July 28 for "FFC bus bar" (South Korean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,695,160, issued on July 28, was assigned to LG Energy Solution Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea).

"FFC bus bar" was invented by Sun-Woo Yun (Daejeon, South Korea) and Sung-Tack Hwang (Daejeon, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An FFC bus bar includes a cable stack structure formed by stacking a plurality of flat flexible cables, and a high current terminal connected to at least one end portion of the cable stack structure. Each flat flexible cable comprises a terminal access portion including strands of conductor wires at at least one end portion thereof, and the terminal access portion is welded to the high current terminal."
