US Patent Issued to LG Electronics on June 23 for "Refrigerator" (South Korean Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,201, issued on June 23, was assigned to LG Electronics Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Refrigerator" was invented by Minkyu Kim (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A refrigerator includes an upper door, a handle, and a lighting. The upper door includes an upper handle recessed upward from a lower surface of the upper door toward an inside thereof, and a lighting disposed at the lower surface of the upper door. The lighting is disposed rearward and downward relative to the upper handle."

The patent was filed on Dec. 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/537,185.
