US Patent Issued to LG CHEM on June 30 for "Polyethylene" (South Korean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,653, issued on June 30, was assigned to LG CHEM Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Polyethylene" was invented by Christine Jisoo Song (Daejeon, South Korea), Jiwon Yoon (Daejeon, South Korea), Yi Young Choi (Daejeon, South Korea) and Sunghyun Park (Daejeon, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a polyethylene. More particularly, provided is a polyethylene which has excellent abrasion resistance and thus is suitable for fiber production."

The patent was filed on Oct. 21, 2021, under Application No. 18/019,232.
