"Disposable impeller assembly for a magnetic drive pump and related methods" was invented by Christopher Luong (Westminster, Calif.), Nguyen Le (Long Hau, Viet Nam) and Nam Le (Long Hau, Viet Nam).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A pump for a spa device including a motor having a drive shaft and a magnetic drive plate attached thereto. The pump further includes an impeller assembly magnetically coupled to the magnetic drive plate of the motor. The impeller assembly is configured to be disposable."
