ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,320,709, issued on June 3, was assigned to Leidos Inc. (Reston, Va.).
"Embeddable ultrahigh temperature sensors and method for making" was invented by Noah Christian (San Diego) and Marcie R. Black (Lincoln, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A temperature sensor capable of taking contact method temperature measurements in extreme temperature environments includes a heterogenous ceramic fiber formed of two materials having different compositions, the heterogenous fiber including a junction between the first and second materials."
The patent was filed on Aug. 25, 2020, under Application No. 17/002,773.
