ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,682, issued on April 14, was assigned to Lahjavida Inc. (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
"Near-infrared dyes and conjugates for targeting tumors" was invented by Lyle D. Small (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Ruizheng Wang (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Shane M. Crippen (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The design, synthesis, and functionalization of a conjugate including a tumor-targeting near-infrared (NIR) dye and a therapeutic agent and/or a diagnostic agent, whereby the NIR dye can function to target the therapeutic agent and/or diagnostic agent to tumor cells."
