ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,432, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Kuraray Europe GmbH (Hattersheim, Germany).
"Composite films with an obscuration area" was invented by Uwe Keller (Avon, France), Martin Steuer (Liederbach, Germany), Shinichi Muguruma (Okayama, Japan), Hideki Oomoto (Okayama, Japan) and Florian Mummy (Frankfurt am Main, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a composite film comprising a polyvinyl acetal with an obscuration area which is provided on a carrier film."
The patent was filed on Sept. 24, 2021, under Application No. 18/028,237.
