ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,630,829, issued on May 19, was assigned to KUMIAI CHEMICAL INDUSTRY Co. LTD. (Tokyo).

"Gene encoding cytochrome P450 and use thereof" was invented by Shunsuke Yamamoto (Tokyo) and Kiyoshi Kawai (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Metabolic activity is exhibited against a larger number of compounds having different acting properties. A cytochrome P450 gene encodes a protein having an amino acid sequence of any of SEQ ID NOS: 2, 4, 6, and 8."

The patent was filed on June 24, 2021, under Application No. 18/009,795.
