ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,588, issued on March 31, was assigned to KSB SE & Co. KGaA (Frankenthal, Germany).
"Impeller having a toothing in the cover plate" was invented by Christoph Jaeger (Gerolsheim, Germany), Axel Schunk (Frankenthal, Germany) and Tobias Seckinger (Frankenthal, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A centrifugal pump includes an impeller. The impeller has a rear shroud, on which blades are arranged. The blades are at least partially in contact with a cover plate. Each blade has a projection that is configured to form a joint with the cover plate."
The patent was filed on Oct. 10, 2022, under Application No. 18/700,965.
