ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,500,232, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to KOREA UNIVERSITY RESEARCH AND BUSINESS FOUNDATION (Seoul, South Korea).
"Cathode active material" was invented by Yong-Mook Kang (Seoul, South Korea), Suwon Lee (Seoul, South Korea), Youngju Choi (Seoul, South Korea) and Gi-Hyeok Lee (Cheonan-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The inventive concept discloses a cathode active material containing crystal water and a manganese-based metal oxide."
The patent was filed on Jan. 6, 2022, under Application No. 17/570,050.
