ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,772, issued on March 17, was assigned to Kohler Co. (Kohler, Wis.).
"Noise cancellation for toilet" was invented by William Kuru (Plymouth, Wis.) and Jason M. Kwacz (Kohler, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An active noise cancellation system for a toilet comprising a lid configured to cover a bowl of the toilet, a microphone configured to detect noises associated with the toilet, and a coil coupled to the lid and configured to causes vibrations in the lid to emit sounds derived from the detected noises associated with the toilet."
The patent was filed on Oct. 26, 2023, under Application No. 18/495,277.
