US Patent Issued to Knauf Gips on June 2 for "Gypsum based building material" (German Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,643,823, issued on June 2, was assigned to Knauf Gips KG (Iphofen, Germany).

"Gypsum based building material" was invented by Matthias Buttner (Obernbreit, Germany) and Wolfgang Rumler (Neustadt an der Aisch, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A building material comprising an inorganic binder a reactive silicon source a reactive calcium source."
