ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,673,009, issued on July 7, was assigned to King's College London (London) and Friedrich-Schiller-Universitat Jena (Jena, Germany).
"Dental material" was invented by Paul Thomas Sharpe (London), Eileen Deirdre Gentleman (London) and Delia Silke Brauer (Jena, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A dental filling material or precursor thereof for use in therapy, which material comprises lithium and is capable of releasing lithium under physiological conditions."
The patent was filed on July 2, 2021, under Application No. 18/011,791.
