ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,485,076, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to KAO Corp. (Tokyo).

"Liquid hair dye composition" was invented by Keiji Monda (Katsushikak-ku, Japan) and Masahiko Watanabe (Sumida-ku, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid hair dye composition comprising components (A), (B) and (C), wherein a content of the component (A) is 1.5 mass % or more, (A) an azo dye selected from the group consisting of the following formulae (A-1), (A-2) and (A-3); (B) a surfactant with an HLB of 7 or more, selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric surfactants; and (C) water."
