ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,458,628, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to J-PHARMA Co. LTD. (Yokohama, Japan).
"Cancer therapeutic" was invented by Hitoshi Endou (Yokohama, Japan), Junji Furuse (Mitaka, Japan), Isao Okayasu (Tokyo) and Michael F. Wempe (Aurora, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "O-(5-amino-2-phenylbenzoxazol-7-yl)methyl-3,5-dichloro-L-tyrosine or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof exhibits high therapeutic effects on bile duct cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer."
The patent was filed on Aug. 1, 2018, under Application No. 16/957,293.
