ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,839, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to ISCAR LTD. (Tefen, Israel).

"Tool assembly configured for Swiss machining" was invented by Gil Hecht (Nahariya, Israel) and David Ben Harouche (Nahariya, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A grooving or part-off tool assembly for Swiss-style machining includes a holder. The holder includes a resilient normally-closed holder clamp. In a preferred embodiment the holder clamp biases a blade holding a cutting insert against a pocket side abutment surface of a holder pocket."

The patent was filed on Dec. 16, 2022, under Application No. 18/067,036.
