ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,652,855, issued on June 9, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Hybrid orientation channels and mixed orientation bottom epitaxy" was invented by Brent A. Anderson (Jericho, Vt.), Nicolas Jean Loubet (Guilderland, N.Y.), Shogo Mochizuki (Mechanicville, N.Y.) and Junli Wang (Slingerlands, N.Y.).
