ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,669,557, issued on June 30, was assigned to INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Qubit-to-qubit interactions mediated by pairs of resonators with tunable inductive coupling" was invented by Aaron Finck (White Plains, N.Y.), Muir Kumph (Croton on Hudson, N.Y.), David Zajac (Valley Cottage, N.Y.) and Jiri Stehlik (New York).
