ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,499,141, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).

"Ontology-based data visualization" was invented by Yara Rizk (Cambridge, Mass.), Zilu Tang (Cambridge, Mass.), Yasaman Khazaeni (Needham, Mass.) and Vatche Isahagian (Belmont, Mass.).
