US Patent Issued to Intas Pharmaceuticals on Sept. 15 for "Naltrexone formulation" (Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,734,167, issued on Sept. 15, was assigned to Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Ahmedabad, India).

"Naltrexone formulation" was invented by Alkeshkumar Narayanbhai Patel (Sanand Gujarat, India), Manish Mavjibhai Patel (Sanand Gujarat, India), Manishkumar Jayantibhai Chauhan (Sanand Gujarat, India) and Venkataramana Naidu (Sanand Gujarat, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lactose free, stable pharmaceutical composition having naltrexone or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of the composition and its use in a method for the treatment of Crohn's disease."
